I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
